Dieta Tucker is a doctoral student at the Graduate Institute of Development Studies, National Chengchi University, with a fervent commitment to impactful research and systemic reform. Her research interest focuses on the theory and practice of development across four key pillars: social, political, economic, and sustainable. With a strong applied focus rooted in current affairs in developing countries, particularly Latin America and the Caribbean, her scientific writings investigate a broad spectrum of development challenges — including poverty and inequality, labor market resilience, spatial spillovers, remittances and financial flows, geopolitical competition, and international monetary policy. Her forthcoming publications are currently undergoing peer review and being considered for publication in SSCI-indexed journals. View my research library.

She is presently conducting original research on China’s currency internationalization via the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as a systematic literature review on the impact of the polycrisis on development and regional cooperation. Dieta holds a Master of Business Administration from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor in Management (Tourism and Hospitality) from the University of the West Indies. As a trailblazer navigating her way through the corridors of academia, she is actively carving a path toward becoming a distinguished Social Science Researcher. Her work exemplifies a commitment to enhancing knowledge, formulating economic policies, informing policymakers, and delivering timely, evidence-based conclusions.
